Kim Ji Soo Legal Controversies: Affecting His Acting Career
In 2021, Ji Soo was cast as the male lead in the Korean drama "River Where the Moon Rises." However, after being accused of school bullying and assault, he was removed from the show and replaced by Na In Woo from episode nine onward. Ji Soo admitted to school violence allegations through a handwritten letter, while his agency, KeyEast Entertainment, denied claims of sexual violence.
In May 2021, KeyEast terminated his contract due to the controversy, and Ji Soo's legal team announced they would pursue action against those spreading false accusations. By July 2021, the creator of a post about his alleged sexual assault admitted it was false.
Ji Soo enlisted in the military in October 2021 and is currently living in the Philippines, where he signed with Sparkle GMA Artist Centre on August 28, 2024.
