Khushi Kapoor was born on 5 November 2000 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, to film producer Boney Kapoor and late actress Sridevi. She has one elder sister, actress Janhvi Kapoor, and two half-siblings, actor Arjun Kapoor and Anshula Kapoor from her father's first marriage to producer Mona Shourie.
She did her schooling at Mumbai's École Mondiale World School, and later did a year acting course at the New York Film Academy in New York City, in 2019.
