Chinese actress Angel Wang was born in Nanning, Guangzhou, China but her parents divorced when she was young which is why she was raised by distant relatives while taking the basic schooling education.
She decided to go to a dancing school to study folk dance because students were offered boarding and they were paid for their dance performances. In 2003, she won the Most Photogenic Award from the CCTV Modeling Competition and made her acting debut in the television series The Ultimate Triangle Line and gained attention as the leading actress in the film Prequel of the Dart Hero.
