Synopsis of Mountain Queen: The Summits of Lhakpa Sherpa
Lhakpa Sherpa becomes the first Nepali woman to climb and survive Mount Everest while bringing up two daughters and surviving an abusive marriage.
It was released on world premiere at the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival on 8 September 2023. Shortly after, Netflix acquired distribution rights to the film. It is scheduled to be released on 31 July 2024.
